Monday 23rd September – bike and walk **** Benerville sur Mer to Trouville – Sunny and Hot :)

We got away with the overnight stop but decided not to hang around as some lorries were going past to get to the quarry and back and were giving us the look so got ready quickly!! Had our breakfast in Lidl car park! We know how to live:) Did our shopping then had a quick look round Honfleur in the daylight but have to say it was better last night:) Drove on to Trouville sur Mer and Deauville just along the coast and parked up at the far end of the prom at Benerville sur Mer. We packed our lunch and cycled along the prom and around both towns until we reached the far end at Trouville. We sat on the beach, had a paddle, ate our lunch and read our books! Just like proper holiday makers!! We were absolutely amazed to see 2 kingfishers fly along the waters edge!! Eventually we cycled back and after making a coffee we went to sit on the beach at that end and do the same again! The tide went out such a long way and revealed rocks at the far end of the bay so we walked up to and past them to the beach just round the corner – Blonville sur Mer. Paddled all the way back with our feet in the water and got ready for the nightly drama of finding somewhere to park! They are not all camper friendly villages and towns around here. They either want to put you in a huge pen or don’t want you at all! We eventually parked up in a car park in Dives sur Mer. Not ideal but we are just about to leave the region anyway and it was getting dark!
